The Cristalglob family of lamps was born thinking about something elegant using glass. In reality, this was a kind of glass we had been using for years, in a milky white version. It was enough to change ‘the dress’ and use a version of transparent and pinkish glass to radically change the final aspect. The idea immediately appealed to everyone, including the public at the last edition of Euroluce at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, when we presented it for the first time.

Another particularity of Cristalglob are the very small support cables: based on the way they are fixed, they allow you to customize the weave of the weave. The cable therefore participates in the overall aesthetic result of the installation of the lamp, it is the end user who decides how.

Cristalglob develops a decorative theme already present in the catalog with the Emisfero collection. The glass diffuser, first in white coated glass, is particular, very bright, with a corrugated and irregular surface, which from time to time takes on a color veiling given by the environment and the objects that populate it. On the walls, the glass forms suggestions, particular characteristic designs of this lamp. Every single “glob” is supported by a very thin trumpet.

Drawing? First there is emotion

Our lamps always remain in the field of sobriety, they are essential but not too much. In recent years there has been a prevalence of minimalism, while in the Icons lamps there is always something decorative. Then it is the aesthetics that must speak, without the need for explanations. If the product needs to be explained, it no longer has the same appeal.

Something beautiful comes from the idea, not from the design, which often distorts. The lamp comes directly from the tests: fold, cut, paint, change, redo … The drawing comes later, first there is the emotional part, the one guided by inspiration.
