The loft in the old glassworks

The space obtained in the large vertical volume of a modern apartment.

HOU56 is a project that was born in the old glassworks of Porta Romana, in Milan, of which you can still recognize the characteristic shed roofs.

The apartment, located in what is now called “Borgo La Vetreria”, is very bright and has high ceilings, the latter feature that has allowed to add an extra space, a suspended environment in the living area.

The architect who took care of the project by working with the furniture has thus developed the space that is camouflaged in a bookcase at the entrance, squeezes the TV area to make it more comfortable and opens onto the dining area with a nice porthole.

The staircase is the protagonist of the space, open and light.

In the bathroom, the fish details of the wallpaper decorate the wall that hides the laundry, while in the sleeping area they act as the headboard of the bed.

In its wall version, the lamp “VERA” decorates and illuminates, indirectly, both the kitchen wall and the column in the middle of the apartment, at loft level.
