Villa Monziani: hiding on an island to escape the world

A special place, in which to spend time forgetting about stress and routine.

To get to Villa Monziani you walk through the historical centre of Orta San Giulio until you reach the square with a view on the lake. From here, whit a private boat, you arrive on the island of Orta San Giulio, directly next to the garden.

Villa Monziani is an exclusive house of the XVII century (1637), one of the oldest of the island, in the middle of Orta Lake, between the Verbanio-Cusio-Ossola and Novara provinces. The villa has recently been completely renewed from the owner, which then made it available to the public.

The important past of this place is preserved thanks to the use of materials, furnishing and vinstage-style furniture. The internal light enhances the atmosphere of the place. The universal shape of Vera wall lamp highlights the ancient decorations on the walls; the retrò design of the GiùUp floor lamp is perfectly at ease near the antique wooden tables; the Mix lamp brings a little contrast between its modernity and the classic style of the interior.

The view that can be enjoyed it thrills: you  can see all the small square of Orta from the windows overlooking the garden, while from the pther rooms you can admire slights of the open sea. As a secret passage, the back entrance leads to the circular route around the island.

Villa Monziani can be rented to spend peaceful and romantic stays in a splendid and historic setting, to organize events or wedding parties, thanks to the access to a large private garden.
